Our clinic specializes in two areas of oral health care: The diagnosis, treatment and prevention of problems related to the periodontium (the gums and bone tissues supporting the teeth), and the placement and maintenance of dental implants.

Periodontal diseases are as common as they are critical. Three out of four people over the age of 35 are affected by some form. Periodontal diseases are caused by certain types of bacteria in plaque, which constantly forms a sticky, colorless film on teeth. The toxins (poisons) created by these bacteria irritate the gums and weaken the attachment of gum tissues to teeth. These toxins eventually can destroy gum tissues and result in bone and tooth loss.
Dental implants provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. Implants are titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a foundation for artificial teeth. Dental implants preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and to smile with confidence.
